I recently had power go out for 48hrs!! I have a 55gal fowlr and everything survived except 1 fish. I was really upset to lose the 1 but considering the amount of time I lost power I guess I should feel lucky that I didn't lose everything.
I would make sure that there isn't any extra food in the tank since there wont be any filtration for that time and I personally think that you should be o.k. in that short amount of time. :)

Hello,I've had my power go out for longer than that with no problems, but if you are worried, you could buy some battery operated air pumps.

AAAhhhhh, I see you are from Calif. too. The power outages suck dont they? Depending on where you live, you might want to keep an eye on the temp. you can use frozen bottles of water to keep it cool if it gets too hot where you live. Battery powered air pumps should be about all youll need other than that. Good luck.

The old Ca. power outages you got to love them. I have been through a couple, not for that long though I just make sure that i open the lids on my tanks and scoop water out of the tanks and then pour it back in. You don't have to do it all the time I just keep moveing from tank to tank, never lost any fish for a power outage. Good Luck
