Power Wash

Does anyone else do this ? Once a week, I take the powerhead off the wall and manually blast my rocks. It removes a lot of debris, and clears back up in about 15 minutes. The tank looks great, and the corals seem pleased after the event.

Yeah, I didn that today and my wife says "What in the heck are you doing!" I said I'm dusting the tank. She just looked at me strange and walked away.

Same here my wife said "you know how to dust. Why dont you do that around the house?"
Do I got a really big fan and started the process. When she saw what I was doing she yelled and told me to stop. I said ok, put the can away and have not dusted since.
You should have seen the time she asked me to do the wash. It was all pink!
My wife is so lucky.

i used a turkey baston to blow off sand and debris off the rock and corals.[/QUOi have done both but now i just do the powerhead method because the baster thing makes my hand hurt when your trying to clean all the rocks in a 150

I don't know why but when I read the title of the thread I was thinking a pressure washer...but I guess a power head would work too

Yeah, I do this every week during my water changes. Sometimes it seems like my sand just loves to float around in the current for a long time. The water clears up really fast but I have all this floating sand. Anyone else have this???
