Powerhead advice

In my 40 breeder I have 2 800 gph power heads and one with variable speed at 100 to 1000 gph. It is a lot of flow but the animals seem to like it.

Dang! Ok. I think I'm running right around 270 with two pumps. Just ordered a single 540. Also ordered a refractometer, the wife accidentally broke our hydrometer after doing a test. Hopefully my fish will like a little more flow.

I run two 800 gph power heads in my 40B, also. Ditto on fish loving the flow... :D

It may take a little while for them to adjust to the higher flow, but your fish will love it. It's healthier for the tank, as well as giving fish the exercise they need. Reefs aren't exactly calm.

Aw... what a shame about the hydrometer. I have one that I haven't used in years if you want another one... lol! A refractometer with ATC is the way to go. ;)

Got both on order. Amazon Prime is awesome. My clowns are getting weirder. Now the little one is spending time on his side on the sand. He looks healthy. The bigger one stays near and prods at him. Sometimes he swims upright and looks great
