Powerhead bubbles harmful?

I like to use the venturi on powerheads to keep the water surface clean. Can the bubbles stress or harm fish? In a SW tank, the bubbles are really small.
Thanks

IMO I think they are a good thing, They increase O2 and circulate the water to the filter, The only time I have seen a problem is with seahorses, The air bubles can be traped inside there bodies which will at first cause a boyancy problem then ultimitely lead to death. Barring you have no sae horses id use the, I use 2.

They are a good and bad thing. kinda a mixed bag. With corals, the iratate the tissue. With a FO tank, I would not worry too much about it. If you like em' use em'. I have read however they they can become attatched to a fishes gills and irratate them also. Do not know the validity of this so, your guess is as good as mine o that one.

Yeah..I wondered about this myself. Although not with powerheads, but with my skimmer. My Remora Pro (running for about 3 months) is still putting out massive amounts of tiny bubbles back into the tank even with the prefilter I bought for it. Tried putting media inside the prefilter and still tiny bubbles are all over my tank.
Anyone have the same problems with the Remora pro and have any solutions?

Isn't it true that as the bubbles surface and break, they add to salt creep? While not necessarily harmful, salt creep is, at least, a clean-up issue. If it is not cleaned completely and often, it can stain a glass tank cover and cause a reduction in light penetration into the tank. If the tank has no cover, the salt may attach to the bulbs, if they're close enough. In a worst-case senerio, electrical damage could result.
