Well, last night while I was at work, my wife paged me to tell me that my powerhead had sucked up one of my perculas. Do they need to be kept in pairs or will it do fine on its own?

Powerheads are perfectly capable of eating fish singly or in pairs...
Oh. you were talking about the percs!
They are ok singly also.

Maybe you could get a powerhead w/a sponge filter on it. This may work unless you are using it as a reverse flow.

Hey Tacks?
I have a Maroon clown that is by itself. (Lost it's mate 3 months ago) She is doing fine. She is hanging out with a Dragon Wrass now. I am trying to find her a new mate. Very slow going, the only ones I find are girls. I swear if their was a bar for her to pick up on other fish, she would be the first one in line. LOL
I added the sponge thing to my powerhead and it is working great. I lost a small lion to it. I still think the lion was not doing well to begin with. Have not had anymore deaths because of it.
I seen on a diffrent post, that you have 2 Sib Huskies, married, no kids and you are 28. I am 29 with all the same. Husband is 28.
Bye :p

Bogie and Ashley. I know not Sib. Huskie names. But they fit.
Bogie is grey/white, brown eyes, 6 years last 2/07. He is my baby. He thinks he is the ****.
Ashley is Black/White, Blue eyes. Will be 6 in July. She is a big lover, but will whip Bogie's butt when needed. LOL
I bred them 3 years ago and still have contact with all the pups. (6 Boys & 1 Girl)
What kinds fish do you have?

I had to save my long tentacle anemone from the over flow. The poor thing was stretched so long because of the suction. I was able to get it out and put him back on his LR. It has one screwed up tentacle, but other then that it is doing great. I bet it does not move the LR again. LOL

Hey Shel,
I think your right about your anemone staying put this time :)
Well, as far as my tank goes, its a 125 that has been set up since Nov 2000 and I've had my share of problems (lost a few fish...). In there now are 2 Perculas, 4 Green Chromis, and 2 Scooter Blennies. I've been battling a bad case of Green Hair Algea so my tank looks like S**t. I bought a clean up crew that has helped a little but just can't seem to keep up. I use RO water but I just upgraded my lights to VHO. I guess I'll just ride it out :D Oh yeah, our dogs are also about 6 months apart.

Hi Rick :)
I have 125g. Set up since 8/00, I beleive. This is so weird. I am also having a hell of a time with the hair algie. I went as far to take the live rocks out when I was doing the water change. I scrubbed the rocks with a brush. They looked great for about a week. :p
Shel
I had my water tested at the lfs. My phosphate and nitrates were high. I am glad to say they are much better now. I have been doing 2 30g water changes a week. I am getting damn godd at water changes. lol :p
This is another odd thing. I have a lawn mower blemmie. Only one. I also have a Mimic Tang, Naso Tang, Flame Hawk Fish, Dragon Wrass, 6 Chomies, blue damsel, maroon clown fish, and a manderine goby. 3 anemones, 4 feather dusters. A s**t load of lr. 150-170 of lr.
I really enjoy the tank. It is my tank, my husband enjoys it along with the dogs. lol
;) ;)
