Would a Hydor Koralia 3 (850gph) be enough flow for a 55g tank? That is 15x flow rate.
I wouldn't depend on just one powerhead. If it is a reef, then that isn't enough anyway. I would go with 2 k3 or 2-3 k2s...

I am doing a FOWLR setup, sorry.
Should I use two Koralia 1's, for 800gph, which is like 14x turnover. Or should I use like one Koralia 1 and one Koralia 2?

for a 55 i would get 3-4 power heads.
have 2 at opposite ends, pointing at each other.
just don't have so much movement that the fish get blown all over.
i have a 46g bowfront and have a maxi jet 1200 a hydor 1, plus outputs from a chiller, a canister filter, protein skimmer and HOB filter.

My 55 FO (soon to be reef) has a Koralia 2, a Koralia 3 and the return from the sump. Lots of flow, but there are still spots I can't quite keep water moving.

I think I will get a Koralia 3, a Koralia 2, and see how it goes, then add more if needed.
I am not using a sump...
