powerhead in refugium.

just wondering. I have a 55g refugium.
Should I add a powerhead i it or does a refugium not need large circulation?

I have a powerhead in my fuge just to keep everything moving. You don't need a lot of flow but you want things to get stagnant either.

I agree that a PH may not be a bad idea...especially if you have a decent size refugium. I have a couple in mine...but its a 55 gal refugium.

depending on the flow rate going through the fuge. as long as the water is moving farely good you dont need it because that just means longer contact time with stuff in fuge.
