Powerhead locations in a 55 gallon

I'm in the process of cycling a 55 gallon and just ordered 3 maxi-jet 900 (230 gph) powerheads off ----. I was wondering what the best setup would be in terms of placement. I have a sump so there is a return line going in the upper left. I will be keeping corals in the future but Fish only for now. (when cycle is complete)

i only have 2 maxi-jets in my 55, but one more would be even better. i also have a spray bar that returns water from my sump. i have 1 PH blowing from the back left corner to the front right. the other one is in the back right corner and it blows across the back wall. my spray bar just blows across the tank. with your additional PH, you would have plenty of water movement. HTH!!

hmm I thought a spray bar is something else....What exactly is that?

the spray bar is just basically a piece of pvc attached to my return that has a bunch of holes drilled in it. it just spreads out the flow from the return so that its not concentrated in one area.
