Powerhead Opinions

Can anybody tell me what you think are the best powerhead(s) on the market. And can you also give me background information on the powerhead(s) and their success rating from 1-10 scale. Thanks.

Most ppl use Maxi-Jets in small tanks like a 40. I have 2 MJ-1200s which are rated at 295gph in my 29 and I want to get one more, probably a 900. They are super reliable.

Thanks. But I also heard that Maxi-Jets tend to overheat and burnout or is that the Rio Powerheads?

MJ's are best!!! I have had other powerheads and they all broken down quicker then the mj's.
I have the same PH running for over a year and all I have done is clean it.
Also get yourself a FLO Deflector. Great way to get the water moving better and it attaches to any PH.

I prefer maxi-jets myself.....but a good return pump and PVC lines for the returns are much better options.....:thinking:
