Powerhead placement questions???

Okay I have a 150 gallon 72x18x24 tank and I have been fighting to get good circulation through the whole tank. I have 1100gph from my return pump on my sump and that's after the head loss. I have a koralia 4 and rio 1700 plus power head. With everything combined I have right 3000gph circulation which is plenty for a fish only tank. My problem is that I still have dead spots on the surface and down in the tank.
What are your recomendation and some of your setups to keep a good flow throughout the whole tank? I will purchase more power heads or different power heads if needed. I have some flim on the surface of the water that I would like to keep agitated so I don't have to run a skimmer. Any suggestions on how to place my powerheads or where to put some new powerheads would be great,
I would show a picture but I know that what I have isn't working so there is no sense in the pics.

u will need at least another 2 koralia powerhead. i'd hv 2 powerhead aiming upward towards the water surface, while another one pointing toward the front of the tank.

First off the film on the surface needs to be taken care of. For some reason beyond my understanding you are not running a protien skimmer, so invest in a surface skimmer intake for your cannister and that will remove the film. Just remember to replace your carbon in the filter at least monthly.
As for the dead spots - keep adding powerheads until you have none! You have a tank 72 x 24 x 18, mine is 72 x 24 x 27 and I have 2 returns at 1506 each, one Maxijet 1200 at 296, 2 Seio M1100 at 110 each, and 4 Hydor Koralia's at 600 each. Return(s) and 2 PH's can't eliminate all your dead spots no matterwhat flow they are rated at.
