Currently have 1 Maxi jet 1200 in my fish only 180 gal tank. My maintence guy (yes I pay for maintence cause Im new with SW) said I should switch from the 1 and do 1 on both sides and suggested Hydor Koralia powerheads. I have read great reviews on them and not to bad on the price.
Need to know which ones tho.
Thanks in advance

Fish only tanks really don't require a lot of wave pump circulation. Your return pump or filter unit should be able to accomplish most of the work. Their are several different reasons hobbyists propagate this notion why you need it anyhow though. Did he give you a reason on why you need it? If you're planning on getting live rock it is good but not required. If you plan on getting corals it's required in order to sustain them. With two power heads you'll be able to have equal strength of water propelling on both sides which isn't a bad idea. The other option is to use the most powerful one that can handle the entire tank.
If you want one on both sides I would use two koralia 2250 & does 90-150 gallon saltwater aquariums.
If you want only one I would use a koralia 3250 & does 130-220 gallon saltwater aquariums
I would personally just stay with what you currently have. Their's really no reason on going any higher unless the return pump or filter can't turn over the entire amount of water inside the aquarium at least eight times with in an hour which in this case should be at least 1,440 gallons of water per hour.

Okay you have a 180 gallon tank with only one power head. From what I read above you only have fish. So, the real question in mind is, do you have any thoughts on having corals?
Since you already have one 1200 maxi, why not get another and put one on each end of the tank, either points at each other or pointed at a central point of the tank for maximum circulation.
You can get a controller too to switch the flow from one to another in seconds or minutes (Korilia Smart Wave). I have two 750's in my 56 gallon, reef. Just food for thought.

In a tank that large, even if its fish only, I would recommend power heads on each side. They don't need to be as powerful as they'd need to be for a reef tank, but it will help with cyano, etc.

+1
Also, I did not read anywhere that the OP said that they have a sump and return pump. They might just be using a canister or large HOB power filters.
I would do at least one power head on each side of the tank. The Koralia 1400's are a pretty good bang for the buck. You should be able to find them online for about $50.00 each.
On a 125g reef tank I ran 4x koralia 1400's on a Hydor smart wave controller (2 on each side). The controller was a nice extra to help randomize the flow patterns in the tank.
I would not listen to anyone who suggests that a return pump is all you need, or that Live Rock is just a nice extra but not needed.

TY for the replies,
No plans for coral in the 180, have 2 canisters running. Ended up with just an 850 to go on the other side, just needed something for some more agitation at the top.

on 180, if you are going fish only, get 2 biggest evolution series from koralia. I think they are 1400. If not, look into jebao wp40. Pretty awesome piece of equipment.
