Powerhead questions

Putting together the final component list for our planned 1st tank (100-gal FOWLR, probably some hardy invertebrates later) and I'm stuck on the issue of powerhead brand. Does anybody care to share experiences or preferences? Saltwaterfish.com seems to stock only Rio heads - are these a quality product in y'all's opinion? IIRC we're going to need at least 1000 GPH turnover, so does that indicate a couple of bigger powerheads, or several smaller ones?
Thanks in advance!

Why don't you do a search on a "Closed Loop System". Then you could get one bigger pump and route it through your tank and end up with better flow. Just an idea.

It's worth considering, to be sure. However, the tank I'm currently looking at doesn't have bulkheads/drillings and I want to minimize the amount of plumbing & HOB stuff. I'm thinking two or three powerheads (more if smaller - any suggestions here?) concealed in the LR is more to my liking.
Thanks!

In my experience, Rio powerheads are loud and don't tend to last very long.
Most people seem to be satisfied with Maxi-Jets.

I agree with the Maxi jets, and just wanted to stop by and tell Nobody1973.
