Ok here's a silly question. I have a powerhead hooked up to my tank, it blows out alot of bubbles which I do not care for. I go to the LFS they have powerhead which just seem to push the water, no bubbles. I beleive my powerhead is either a marineland or aquaclear really dont know. I know this is a strange question but it would be too easy to ask the guy at the LFS partly because i never remember. Bubbles really urck me, can some one give me a clue.

If the powerhead is blowing bubbles - it must be getting air from somewhere.
How deep in the tank do you have it positioned?
Does it have a air connection for an airline tubing to allow you to draw in air if desired ?
If it's to near the surface, sometimes a powerhead will create a little vortex tornado looking funnel that will pull air down to it and blow it out into the tank.
Try lowering the unit some and see if that helps.

The power head is about 2 inches below the water line, and yes it does have a airline. I will try to lower it some more and see if that helps.
Thank you

Did the powerhead come with a plastic plug for the airline tubing connection?
If so..... just yank out the airline, or should I say carefully remove the airline tubing and plug that hole !
Good luck

your ph should have came with a plug, it is a little piece of plastic that replaces your airline hose, do this and you should have no more bubbles
