I have my 80 gallon tank(4' x 2') that i bought over a wk ago and it doesn't have any powerheads i was wondering if anyone can suggest how many and what type (maybe refer me to which ones they sell here) as i know nothing about these.
A lot depends on what you are planning on keeping in the tank. A pair of maxijet 1200's would make a good start if you are doing just fish. You'd want something more powerful if you are doing a reef like a pair of Hydor Koralia 3 or 4s
I would try two Koralia 4s, one on either side at the back pointing at 45 degrees towards the front where they crash into each other. You might need a Koralia 2 to put in the center on the back shooting straight forward.
