Thought I would let you know mine are doing great and I now have 6 Polyps! These are the stars of my tank thanks Thrice! I'll be hitting you up for some of those LE SPS you have in that tank as well.

How many did you buy? I thought these were slow growers.
Thrice,Do you still have any for sale?
Anyone know the name of the smaller zoa version of these and what they go for? I've seen them a couple of times in other rare collector's tanks, basiclly the same coloring without the mouth and the polyps are only maybe half of the diameter of a dime, a little bigger than a pencil eraser.

You may be talking about jokers... purple center with green skirt. They're one of my favorites

They are anything but slow growers in my system, but it's maxed out for optimum zoa growth. I keep them under 2X150 DEs I got 3 which have turned to 6 and several nubs. I know a guy who got 6 last year who now has over 30! It all depends on the flow and stability of the tank IMO.

IMO it is about the stability of the tank. I had my PPEs in a 75 frag tank that I did not have much time for and almost lost them. I now have them in my 220 main tank and sold my frag tank and now they are starting to grow again. In about a month the 5 I have are about to be 7. I love them but the do grow slow. There is ways to encourage new growth but I have not had the guts to try it yet haha. Soon when I get a few more polyps I will take a razor to them and score the side of a few. Anyway, Good Luck!!

Can you post some pics of yours? Do you have before and after pics?

No need for that, In fact thats just way to dangerous IMO. Just place them in some fast current (not direct) and sit back and watch. I had a pic of them somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

My bet would be a hitchhiker or parasite, look for any snails, asternia stars, etc that might be munching on them at night.
