Haha.. Saved my WHOLE family from certain death!

I love the state, but hated the red tape and politics. We moved down here, sent back 5 NC plates in the SAME envelope and they claimed they only got 4. I had to file a lost/stolen report for the other. Coincidentally, the one they lost, I had to pay taxes on.

All the others were paid to date, but that one accrued taxes til they found it.
Took them a month and daily phone calls to finally get it in the system.

NC is full of taxes, but it sure seems like everybody and there granny wants to move here. They should just rename it the "melting pot".

I remember reading the actual content of the thread before you made the change.
I had nothing constructive to say so I simply left it be. now in its absence I thought to pipe up.
You should repost the original content as I am sure others would appreciate it. This board is all about differing points of view and I can respect your intentions. You have my support and participation.
Not really a close friend of the Ministry here but I WILL say my thoughts are on those in harms way.

Between Raleigh and Charlotte, that's prolly the fastest growing financial business in the country! And with the mountains AND the beach all in the same state? What's not to love?
But it's the gov. stuff that I hated.
For example.. To sell a car your still paying on. You have to pay it off, pay the taxes to get the title, sell it the same day and the purchaser also pays the taxes again.

End of lease rules on vehicles...don't even get me started.
I looked into being a surrogate mom for a family. NC is the ONLY state in the country that the fertile companies cannot work with because even though egg AND sperm belong to another couple, the surrogate mom can still keep the baby.
Stupid.
To many rules.
Where are you in NC again?

Hey, thanks Reef

I was just seeing a lot of prayer request lately, and I just had a brain fart thinking everyone would like a central place. But, I could tell that these boards are just too diversified, or maybe I just didn't give it long enough. I don't know, but no problem. Thanks for the comment though....made the effort worth it.

Apex, NC , in between Raleigh & Chapel Hill, but my shop is Raleigh.

I'm here! I DID IT!!!!!!! It was scary and I got a double ear infection because of it but I did it! Thank you so much guys.
And yes I'm claustrophobic and I have bad exercise-induced asthma. Ever since my surfing accident on valentine's day, I've been terrified of drowning as well.

Exercise induced asthma!? What the...? I'm gonna use that, along with my other reasons for not execising. I'm alllergic, I get all wet, My heart rate increases, my breathing increases, I know I suffer respiratory distress! I'm allergic!
Ahh, I'm kidding, just giving you a hard time.
The asthma you can't control, but you gotta find a way to overcome those other 2 things.
Course who am I to talk, afraid of heights.

Actually, a lot of scuba instructors will not give lessons to anyone with asthma, especially with mine, and definitely not after I had an attack and had to get mouth to mouth. But that's another story.
So yes I am a certified diver. Thanks for thinking of me y'all. :)
