price for a 90 gal?

it depends on the tank, and the LR. If the rock is nice it shoudl be worth 3-400 in itself. is the tank glass or acrylic? what shape? stand and canopy? give us the details

sorry.. i guess fairly new live rock not full of color..i guess u wouldnt say it was nice rock. The standard 90 gallon, and just a stand no canopy. no special stand but not a metal stand.

A new one would likely be around $2,000 so I'd estimate $500-1200 for used.

My lfs has a 95gallon Rectangle Tank with an overflow for about $250

Maybe $1200 for a new 90 acrylic so used depending on condition, $800 in real good shape down to about $200 if it's all scratched up. A used glass tank $300 to $400. These prices would be just for the tank.
I have a 90 acrylic and I paid $1200 new with skimmer, filter, and pumps

i think the 90 gallon is out of the question for me. I have about 800$ and was looking to upgrade from a 29G reef. But i wanted to be able to set up the whole thing with the 800$

Try a 55 gal then....very cheap and widely available . You'd probably be pretty pleased with it.

all the prices listed are expensive a used for $300-400 i paid $473 for my brand new 125 AGA with stand glass tops lights i guess i got a good deal

Prices will depend on quality. When I said $300-$400 for a used glass 90 gallon tank, it would have to be pretty decent. There are quality tanks and there is just junk out there also with many level in between.

AGA 90 gallon with overflow is about $250 almost everywhere and AGA stand would be about another $150. Figure $400ish for sump and skimmer set up (or cheaper if you DIY). Lighting could run from a few hundred to several hundred. You can look at a zillion places online including here to find the price of liverock and sand. Liverock is anywhere from $2-10/lb. Skip the livesand. Buy/borrow/steal a scoop from an established tank and seed your regular sand.

In CT several LFS have the same ad out that for $459 you get 90 gal AGA and pine stand plus full glass lid and basic light strip. Not drilled, no sump. Black or oak. I can only guess all the LFS for the holiday will have the same deal going on. I'd use that for the ball park as you shop around.
