So I got to thinking. Placing frags or colonies in a tank is like gardening. You have to have a decent eye and know what your working with to achieve a good looking reef.
Do ya'll do some research on the size look and stuff prior to officially gluing it to your rock?

There are usually a few variables that go into this equation, like type of lighting that the frag was under prior and amount of flow.I like to glue my sps frags to a small piece of LR rubble and see how the piece reacts, then move it accordingly until i find the place where it seems to thrive. Its usually a long process to find the sweet spot where it looks good to me and more importantly, where its happy.
