Prizm has me ticked!

I've got one of the infamous hang on back prizm skimmers. The thing will not operate without running over. Anyone have any suggestions on what the water level is supposed to be in the collection chamber? Is it supposed to be barely over the reaction chamber opening? Any suggestions would be nice as i'm about ready to trash the @(*# thing!

Nice member number, did you pay extra for that? I'm about to throw my skimmer out the window and it's a halfway decent one. I can't get it to run without filling my tank full of bubbles. I hope you figure it out and can feel better knowing I'm sharing the pain.

I know, I've had it for 2years now, but I've done 2 major water changes in the last 2 weeks and I've let it run for 3 days. My leathers that are around the seaclone close up from all of the air bubbles. It worries me that my tank is so clean, I can't skim it and I'm leaving town tommorrow. Not sure if I should let it run or not. I'm also kinda battling a small outbreak of hair algae. What a time to have to leave my tank for 4 days!
Memnoch, sorry for hijacking your post.

I belive the water level should come up to the o-ring. I barely havemine open. No bubbles and good flow. Seems to be doing a good job. Always let it run a couple of hours between adjustments.

I have the Prizm skimmer and it takes some "tweeking". I allow my bubble line to reach the o-ring area. The reason is, so I will have dry foam instead of wet. If it's wet the collection cup will fill in an hour or so. My valve is barely cracked open. Also, if it's hanging off the back of your tank you are probably getting bubbles, right? Well, I had that same problem too so stuck that SOB in the sump ....I could give a rat's @$$ about the bubbles now. And oh! Water changes, here we ago again with the Prizm skimmer!! You have to tweek the valve again because the syphon has been lost. It's a pain in the royal @$$, but hey, for $50 what do you expect??
