prizm not skimming

As you all probably know I got a clean up package this past weekend. Also I got some soft coral. All is doing great.
The critters have eaten all the brown algea right up.
I have two questions:
1)Since my clean up grew, my prizm isnt skimming at all. Is this normal?
2)I recieved a big emeral grab too and I saw him eating some coral on the florida aquaculture rock last night. Are these guys soft coral safe? According to all I have read it seems they are.
Thanks for the insight!

I have a prizm and you might need to adjust it once in a while, how old is it?, mine started with the valve almost close then later on I adjusted it to open a little more, try to adjust it so there is no micro bubbles coming out of the outflow..I also modified it so I dont have to take it out often to dump the stinky scum, I driiled 2 holes on each compartment and attached a hose to an empty gallon of milk..works great. :p :p :p

I tried a prizm once just for fun. I must say it sucked real bad. I don't beleive in skimmers anymore anyhow. they are just a big waste of money! go make a nice big refugium with a plenum. you'll have the nicest tank around.
