prizm skimmer help

I just got a prizm skimmer and all that is getting to the collection cup the foam turns to water anyone have experience

I dont have an answer to your problem but this also happened to me. I got the prizm a few years ago cuz ppl said it was good. I never got it to work right. With mine it either collected alot of water and had bubbles going into the tank or no foam being collected at all. So i went back to my air pump driven protein skimmer which works great, made by lee's
For a while after i used the prizm as a glorified water pump, not anymore.
It was loud too, i always had a towel over it to help cut down on the noise.
Im gonna see if the lfs will give me store credit for the stupid thing.

Bump for ya as i am interested in this as well. Only suggestion i can make to you is do a search on these message boards for prizm skimmer.

lower the valve on the intake tube turn it to lower the flow

i have a prizm and i usually have mine set at about 2 o'clock-3 o'clock. this will get me good flow and a decent amount of skimate. i never get that super dark green stuff some other people get in thier skimmers but i am happy with the color of mine. i keep a lightly stocked tank so that might be why i dont get a heavy skimmate.
