Prizm working?

I have a 75 FOWLR. It is about two months old. Levels are all good. I recently(two weeks or so) put a Prizm skimmer on it and so far have got nothing but water in the collection cup. Is this right? Or is something wrong?

This comes up a lot but the secret to making that Prism work is to close the flow control to almost completely off. When I got mine the first few days the cup filling with water also went to lfs and looked at theirs and he told me about closing the flow down and goodness mercy it began to work like a champ and does so now. Try that and see what happens.

I had it almost fully closed for a week and still just get water...could it be because my tank is so new?

I've had mine for two weeks and it does the same. I did get some blue stuff in it,, once i added some ich treatment. Other then that just water. I got my valve almost al the way closed. Its seens to be putting out alot of bumbles thou(i can see at night). I guess this normal. i just read about the 18 prepeller too today, got check that for real, its kinda noisey.
