Does anyone have any experience with this heater? My tank is 80 with my digital but this heater is telling me my water is 75. Am I loosing my mind?

Not sure if you're losing your mind or not - but it's not uncommon for two different instruments to read differently if placed in the same temperature bath.
Are you physically taking the measurement in the same place with both devices ?
Have you done any recalibration on the digital ?
Do you have a mercury thermometer ? You could take some tank water in a cup, and compare the digital to the mercury one.
Could be one is defective, or the RTD/Thermocouple/Thermistor is bad.
You'll have to run a test to see which one's correct or closer to being correct. Or return to manufacturer.

i have the same heater rember it is telling u that whereever the heater is it is that temp mine is in my sump and tells me i am at 84-85 but my tank is 82 which would be correct since i have 2 pumps in my tank , also since it says u are at 75 is it kicking on?

Not comming on at 75. But I've seen it kick on at 76 so go figure. I bought a regular thermometer and that is saying my water is at 80. I'm not sure what to believe. I have this in my tank and I am taking mesurements with my digital at the same place.

well, if that was my situation and i was getting 2 diff readings at the same location i would see what a stick on temp gauge showed or another type , u have already said the temp controller is acting funny since it kicks on at 76 but not at 75? or perhaps the unit sensed a drop in temp like 75.9 and turned on like it should.

I am going to swap it out for a new one. The vendor was great and told me that he has heard of this problem alot with this brand. The manufacturer doesn't seem to care at all. If the replacement doesn't solve it I will be buying a diffent brand. Thanks for the input. JP.
