ok i got my sand to day and i have a problem but befor i get to that i am goin to put down every thing on the bag and you will see my problem. ok here it is....Southdown Tropical Play Sand Soft Texture Sterilized Silica Free From the Caribbean 50 lb NET WT. and finally the problem Not recommended for Traction or Aquarium use. now i think it is just for fresh water but befor i do anything i would love all of yr oppinions hellp

It sounds like the right stuff. They put the disclaimer on it to protect themselves because those are not it's "intended" use.

In this day and age companies are scared of being sued for products that they sell. SOuthdown has found out that people are using their tropical play sand in aquariums. Therefore they want to protect themselves form people who may sue if they use it in a reef and everything dies or something goes wrong. As far as I know it is the same sand that everyone has been using. Do sweat it and use it.

it is OK to use. I think any reefer who can get their hands on it uses it.
