Product: Algone

Has anyone used the product Algone? If so what did it do for you.:notsure:

I only used them right after the cycle to help lower my nitrates. It did help some, but I think if one could set up a refugium it would be better.

i used it and worked great for my cyano bacteria.but it comin' back.

if at all possible avoid using any chemicals to cure most problems, with proper maintenance and the right equipment you can have a succesful reef.

FYI, it is not really a chemical. More like a subtance that attracts the baddies, like phosphates, nitrates, etc....

so its like a po4 pad or some type of resin that absorbs the trates and stuff. if not them its a chemical and will work only for a short time and you"ll have the same problems as stated above until you fix what is causing it.
