Product Question

Has anyone used a product called "Its Clear"? It is sold at SWF and claims to clear the water and remove suspended organic particles and is harmless to everything in a reef tank. Almost sounds to good to be true.
Also, if you purchase live sand from SWF, does it have to be cured in a QT when received? If so for how long.
Thanks

if you've already got an established tank, you will have to cure the sand before adding it. what exactly are you wanting to use that chemical for? do you run a skimmer? do you run carbon? how long has your tank been set up? any liverock? what are your water parameters at?

My tank has been up and running since February. I have livestock in the tank. Everything is going fine (knock on wood) and was not seriously considering adding chemicals to the tank. I am new to the hobby and happened to see the product for sale on SWF and just thought I would ask about it. It was more for a matter of learning then anything else. I am trying to gain as much info/knowledge as possible and figured asking people with more experience was the way to go.
Thanks,

Rwillo, I used something similar to that in the early 90's on my fw tanks. It collected everything together like a magnet so I could scoop out the solids.
However, when we bought a better filtration system, I didn't use it anymore.
As far as SW tanks go, if you are using a good functional protein skimmer, phs, doing regular maintainence, have a good cleanup crew, don't overfeed, you shouldn't need this.
Good luck and keep asking questions.
