Here is a reporter, on the third day of a story, attempting to tell us there is no story and not to pay attention. What's worse is on the Yahoo home page the title is "WH rapper story fizzles", as though there is nothing to this and we shouldn't care. A guy who sings the praises of 2 cop killers and then is invited to the White House for an award is news. It shows the Obama affinity for radicals is alive and well and didn't end in college.

This episode rated right up there with "the police acted stupidly". I love one of the comments. "You have the media writing a story about not covering something they don't think is a story". His description of it isn't board friendly but dead on

The first george bush invited Easy E to a similar function during his term.....he must be really radical...as easy e was far worse than common....in many facets..........I believe he also received an award.

In a perfect world the media would be questioning 0bama's choices. His self proclaimed mentor Frank Marshall Davis, 20 years in psycho Wright's church, His association with Bill Ayers, His legislative votes, "The police acted stupidly", Ignoring the chance to help force leadership change in Iran and Syria but jumping in the middle of Libya etc. They don't even call him on obvious lies like US oil production being at all time highs or his made up economic numbers. This fool couldn't get elected dog catcher is the media even placed the scrutiny on him they did Clinton, let alone Bush.

Cop killer by day, vegan, PETA activist, HIV/AIDS awareness supporter, and Elmo's friend on Sesame Street by night. Not saying I support the guy or his lyrics, but if he was on Sesame Street how much of a gang-banger could the guy be? From what I've read, it doesn't seem like he's based his whole career off of the "gangster rap" like artists like Ice-T, etc have.
Then there was Ted Nugent who sang "I said, Hey Obama! You might want to suck on one of these you punk (holding gun). Obama, he's a piece of sh*t. I told him to suck on my machine gun. I said Hey Hillary, you might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless b****!" (August 24, 2007). In response to this Sean Hannity said he wouldn't disavow what Nugent said as he "likes him" and hes a "friend and frequent guest on the show." But in response to the Common controversy he said he'd be "against this type of rhetoric if used against President Obama."
I see it more as making a mountain out of a mole hill and less as the left shaping the news.

Nugent didn't sing it, he said it. LOL!
The difference here is the guy with the cop killer support lyrics and other songs talking about violence against cops was invited to the White House DURING NATIONAL POLICE WEEK. Incredible amount of tone deafness for the administration not to consider that.

Fox is sooo biased. Did you catch the AP poll showing 0bama's favorable ratings had jumped up to 60 percent? Well when you read their sampling they surveyed 46 percent Democrats and 29 percent Republican. No credible news organization would release a headline based on such a statistically flawed poll, let alone even release the results but it's Fox that's biased LOL!!!

The AP Poll interviewed a whopping 1001 respondents via telephone. Did you also look a little further down in that study to see that 38% of them were Strongly/Somewhat Conservative, and only 23% were Strongly/Somewhat Liberal? 36% were considered "Moderate". So are the Moderates part of your Democrat percentage, or did the Democrats convert a bunch of Conservatives over to their flock?

One thing Lush Windbag is right about is that liberals, by and large, hate to be identified as liberal. So the fact a bunch of democratics claim to be conservative is no surprise. Party affiliation is a far better gauge of the participants political leanings. But this poll is a perfect example of the media trying to shape public opinion. None of the other polls have Our Lord and Savior even close to 60%.

A conservative democrat is still a Democrat with a bias toward their own party. You can put all the lipstick on this pig you want but the snout and curly tail are still there.

Back in 97 I ran for office as part of a Republican/Democrat group trying to keep the New Party out of power in Western Montana. These were old school conservative Democrats. True enough at the local level we all had a lot in common but when it came to state and national politics not a chance. They all supported Democrat candidates and their policies. A "ultra conservative" democrat would be a Lincoln Chaffee kinda Republican at best
