Isn't Conservative Democrat an oxymoron? Democrats are historically known to be highly Liberal. So how can someone who pushes Conservative ideologies still be considered a 'Democrat'? So is a Liberal Republican really a Republican? So what your saying is we really have FOUR major political parties - Democrats, republicans, Conservatives, and Liberals. I suppose you could bundle the Conservative Party with the Tea Party. They seem to follow the same "party line values".

A conservative democrat is still going to support democrats. The poll was highly flawed, period. None of their previous polls had an imbalance anywhere close to this. What good is a tracking poll when you use radically different demographics for your sample?

That's one of the things that irks me about the coverage of Gabriell Giffords. After the tragic shooting all the media, including FOX, kept calling her a conservative democratic She voted with Pelosi 97% of the time. The only thing she has been conservative on, ironically, is gun rights. After watching her in action I have come to understand a "conservative democratic " is a dem that talks conservative to constituents and goes back to Washington and votes pretty much party line. Her shooting was tragic and I in no way am happy about it (have to add that even though it's common sense cause the lefties always try to throw that back at me), but it doesn't change what she is: a VERY liberal democratic
