proper ph for corals

I am somewhat new to this hobby but I am hooked ! My wife just bought me a calcium reactor which I installed about a week ago. My question is, What is a proper overall ph for corals, I have all kinds and since I installed my reactor my ph has been a constant 8.2 average. I read somewhere that corals may actually do better with a ph in the range of 8.4 - 8.5. Anyone care to comment on this and offer advice, it would be much appreciated. thanks.

IMO 8.0 - 8.5 is fine as long as it's fairly stable. Test the PH morning and night to find the variation. 0.2 point variation is the max corals tolerate well.
