Well-we did things a little different. I proposed to him. I fell in love with him on our first date...and I kept it quiet for a long time (over 2 years) ...he finally said the "L" word on Valentines Day in 2002...I was ecstatic. He moves very slow though. Finally, after much thought and consideration I wrote him a beautiful love letter...this was in the summer of 2003. It was about 3 pages long and started off saying how much respect i had for him as a man. I also told him how he made me feel...complete with desciption of butterflies in my stomach every time he kissed me...even after 4 years. I told him I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him---and asked him if he wanted the same...he didn't say a word about the letter for about a week...then he took me to the garden at his home and asked me if I would do the honor of allowing him to take care of me for the rest of our lives...I cried and said yes. He then apologized for not moving quicker...lol

awe, that's so cute!!!
i read this little scenario somewhere:
The girl is a piano teacher, and wonderful musician. Her boyfriend learned how to play her favorite song on the piano, and on the night, he had his friends carry a piano out to the beach, where he took her, played her favorite song, and proposed... :googly eyes:

jd...our "friend is back....

i think that proposals should be romantic and catch that person off guard. NO RESTURANT PROPOSALS!!! don't stick the ring in the dessert or anything like that. i heard of someone craking a tooth once!

Hey Teeny!!!!!!!!
OK, the man was a real romantic. Now girls, don't be getting all jealous coz this was a first rate proposal. He came over to my house, said he got his tax return in the mail.....wanted to know if we should go buy a ring.....Now that was the most romantic thing you've ever heard wasn't it. I should've known right from the start. Really stupid thing, I AGREED.
