Im putting together a new 140 reef and just purchased some corner overflows. I am having it drilled(in the bottom) for both drains and returns. I am thinkin of having (2) 1.25" drains and (2) 1" returns. I will be running two mag drive pumps both rated at 950 gph. Do you think this is accurate?

Just a little FYI...
Make sure the bottom of the tank is not made of tempered glass. If it is, is should be avoided all costs!
The 2 x 1.25" drains may not be enough to handle the volume your purposing. Just to be safe, IMHO would increase the size of the ports to 2"'s. It is far better to address the issue of having enough drainage, then figure out after you attach your plumbing that your flow is being restricted by the size of the port. Let alone the cost of having to redrill the holes for size to accommodate for flow rate. I am using 2 x 2 1/2 ports w/ 3 x 1/2 returns and a Sedra 1800+-gph external pump. The flow rate is manageable with this scenario.
Good Luck :holiday:

I have a 125 AGA with dual corner overflows running two MAG 9's. The drains are 1" and the returns are 3/4". The 1" drains handle the water fine, but the overflows are just a little slower than I'd like. That could be solved by opening the holes a little with a dremel tool or something. I also have not noticed a problem with heat with the 2 Mags.
