pros and cons of having mangroves in your refugium

Hello everybody, I would like to know what are the good things about having mangroves in a fuge and what are the bad things about having them in a fuge. Do you have to dose anything to keep them alive?

i don't think you have to dose anything....bad thing is they might put a root through the silicon sealant and make a leek......but they are pretty good...slow growers though

Thanks, I did a search on google and some guy doses epson salt to keep the magnesium up.

cool thanks, I think i'm just gonna stay away from the mangroves so I don't have to worry about dosing magnesium and stuff.

Yeah I test for magnesium weekly along with calcium, amonia, nitrate, nitrite, ph, alk, and phosphate.
