Protein skimmer choice

Which is better for a 55 gal, a seaclone 100 or a cpr bak pak 2. What is the difference? Gettting ready to buy one and the help would be greatly appreciated.

IME, a bak pak 2 was barely efficient on my 46 bowtank. I guess it would depend on bioload size though.

That is puzzling because it says it is for up to 60 gals. and is more expensive than the seaclone. Someone please help me

I would get the SeaClone, but would get the 150 if you can. They're both excellent, and IMO, the best bang for your buck. They outskim anything else on the market when compared with their cost. Sounds like a SeaClone ad, but hey, I like 'em.

I was leaning toward that but i just wanted some reassurance from everyone here.

I had a seaclone on my 55 when it was up and running and I never had a problem with it. It kept the nitrates at 0 and I never had any algea problems. In my opinoin (sp) anything with CPR on it is overpriced.
