Protein Skimmer/Cloudy Water

Will a protein skimmer help at all with slightly cloudy water...the water became cloudy in 1 day, I since added 6 hermits and 3 turbo snails, what else can I do to clear it up

It's a 55 gallon, been setup for a month, all parameters are fine, PH 8.2, 2 percula clowns, 6 hermit crabs and 3 turbo snails, I have 2 Penguin Bio Wheel 330's.

Are you still cycling? We could help you better if you tell us what your readings are on ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

what kind of sand are you using? How often do you feed you fishes? Protein skimmers will help a lot if the problem is over feeding. But I don't know:thinking:

It finished cycling about 1 week ago, my ammonia is 0, nitrates 0, nitrites 0, ph 8.2, i feed once a day

:scared: Twice daily is way to much !! I feed mine every other days. If you have lots of LR, you don't have to feed that much anyways, lot of little small worms or insects for them to eat !!
Cut down your feeding!! You could get a protein skimmer, but only if you need them, if is a FOT, save some bucks!!

I only feed once a day and I have about 20lbs of LR
