protein skimmer for 180

I have a 180 gal with a med. load it is fowlr i need a good protein skimmer may be (asm 4+) i only have 25in under the tank

I would use a Euro-reef RS-135, a RS-180 if you plan to add to it or have a reef.

What is a 'mesh wheel' and is the modification easy? I have a couple Asms. Always looking for ways to improve their skimming ability.

I saw the other thread on the modification. Do you just tie the mesh to the existing ASM wheel after cutting down some of the 'spokes'?

Not sure about cutting down the pins, but it's secured to the pinwheel with zip ties......
