Protein Skimmer for 30G FOWLR

I'm setting up a new FOWLR 30G tank that will have 30 Lbs of Live Rock and I am new to the hobby. I have a couple of questions though about mechanical filtration.
I plan on buying a Protein Skimmer and I don't want to skimp out on quality, but I only need one that will take care of 30 Gallons. Any suggestions on a quality afordable small tank Skimmer?
Also, I have a carbon power filter that I currently have for the tank. Is it alright to run this power filter alongside the skimmer or should I replace it? Will this be enough filtration along with the Live Rock/Sand?

the hob remora is nice skimmer for most small tanks.

I agree on the remora. With the remora u wont need to run the other skimmer. I would suggest that u get the optional surface skimmer aswell if u don't have a built in overflow.

You mean if I use the protein skimmer I will not need to use the Power Filter?
Where can I find the optional surface skimmer?
