Protein Skimmer Help[

Can anyone tell me whats up with the foam on these things? Mine always foams over even when I have it on the lowest level, anyone know why? It just spills into my tank and its driving me nuts!!! Thanks.

Also, how high do you recommend me having it? I usually leave it half way, sometimes lower. Thanks, all help appreciated!!!

HOB red sea prism deluxe. Not that exspensive.

I have an Instant Ocean skimmer on my 75 gal tank for @ 3 months. My readings are wonderful but I have never got the "foam". Am I missing something here?

Visijets are the worst skimmers out there, inexpensive yes but you get what you pay for. I had one on my first tank, it was nothing but problems but hey it only cost 20$

Yeah well...Im a newby lol, I didn't know any better.

Yeah I just got one of the visi jets, should have know it would be a pos, but i turned the air vent off and put an air stone down the top, no more bubbles out the bottom. Im just waiting to see if i can get it to foum now, haha if it dont work im just gonna go to the lfs and by one from them.
