protein skimmer, necessity or not?

i just wish my skimmer would start skimming, been 7 weeks and nothing. i thinks its time to adjust it again to see if i can get it to do something. aqua c ev120. i cant imagine there's nothing in there for it to skim, its just not skimming it

your skimmer should be pulling out 1/2+ cup per day of brown water. If not, you do not have it dialed in, or you have the wrong skimmer IMO.
