protein skimmer on nano

NO! water changes weekly should work great! 5 gallons!

well this is for somebody else and they were wanting to get out of haveing to do a bunch of water changes if they wanted to put one on there could they? and it cut down on water changes?

It definitely doesn't hurt and it will help with overfeeding.
Get one that fits in your rear chamber like a sapphire aquatics or a tunze 9002.

Just dont get that Fission Nano Protein Skimmer. It was worthless. I drilled my hood and ran a sump with the skimmer at the bottom

try saphire aquatics...I havfe one in each of my AP24...work very well

i dont think a skimmer is a good idea becaues of how it takes essential elements out of the water that are a bit more difficult to keep stable in a nano reef. maybe not so bad of an idea for a fish only nano but definately not for a nano reef.

what about the euro-reef nano skimmers? I had them on other tanks and they kick butt!

Don't have any links for you, but skimmers are known to strip iodine out of the water at the very least.
