no skimmer is going to be totally silent. However my aqua c remora w/t maxijet 1200 is pretty quiet, and it is also very effective and durable.

im running the coralife needle wheel super skimmer. its not too bad as far as noise. does a great job skimming too.

the tank in my room has a Prizm Pro Deluxe protein skimmer.... and its loud.. yeah.
