Protein skimmer question...

I have had my 75g reef up for a little over 10 months, and I haven't put a skimmer in yet. I have been kind of checking them out, but I am a little tight on cash. I am trying to spend around 200 give or take....The problem is I don't have room for a refugium, thus, I have a marineland biowheel hood. There is four caps on the back of the hood that are about 1.5" x 4". I was just going to use a backpack skimmer. I saw one I posted on the bottom of the post, and was wondering if anyone has had or heard about this particular one. Or maybe could give me some guidance of one thats not to hideous, but does a decent job. Anything is better than what I have. The reason I am worried about it being hideous is the backside of the tank is above the stairs, so its in the wide open, and I don't really want it looking cheesy. Any advice would be appreciated....

I didn't like the Aqua C, I used one for about six months. After that, I bought an Octopus HB300. It used two pumps and creates a lot of action. Just my experience, but when I had to use Hang Ons, it worked great, and not too expensive either.

I have a 75 gal myself i bought the red sea prizm it hans in the back of the tank and looks like a filter it has worked fine for me paid 100 bucks forit new. your other choice is look for your local dealer to see if they have used equipment for sale you can get a realy good deal that way. my local dealer sells this stuff on consignment, ihave come across some really good buys that way. good luck with your choice.
