Protein skimmer question?

Last night I just hooked up a Nautilus TE protein skimmer with a pondmaster 500gph pump running it. Ever since I set it up it has been making a gurgling sound, kinda like someone trying to get the last drop of a milkshake through a straw. Is this normal? Will it eventually stop?

Hmmm.. That's strange... I've never heard a Nautilus run, but it may be the pump you got, or just the Nautilus itself.. Try giving it some time, but I want to BUMP this thread up for you..

Thanks Elvis, at the recommedation of my LFS I put an air stone over the air intake valve. It shut it right up, and it's still working well.
