Protein skimmer

Hey everyone, Im fed up with my protein skimmer, I need some ideas on a good one to buy, model names. Any input would be grealty appriciated! Something for a 55 gal! Thanks.

IME seaclones suck. They dont do much of a job. Same as the red sea prizm.

IYO, does Berlin suck? Just wondering, cause Im getting a skimmer off ----, and wanna know what is best. the one you suggested isnt on there, so can u think of any other good ones, i really need something, my tank is cloudy, i have a Visijet PS100, but that SUCKS!

I have been doing a lot of research on skimmers and IMO the ASM is the best in quality and price. Best of luck to you/:happy:

Never looked at the asm skimmers but i heard they are much less expensive than the euro reefs. Try looking for AquaC skimmers a few should pop up.

Do you have a sump to house an in-sump skimmer or do you need a HOB skimmer?

yes visi jets suck. I bought one before I visited the site. I agree 100% when people say get the best skimmer you can afford. I plan on getting one after christmas. My collection cup might get 1/4 filled a week. How much do good skimmers collect per week?

Okay, Thanks guys, Im going with the Aqua C..found a good deal on one. I have had that Visi Jet hooked up for more than a week, and not even a drop in the collection cup. Mine is a HOB.

Hey I'm getting one also ,hope ya don't mind how much you paid for it !!! mine Is going on a 29 GAL !!!:jumping: I paid $159 shiped no powerhead !!! :nervous: getting a 1200 powerhead !!!

My aquac ev120 fills a gallon jug in about 2-3 weeks. I have it on my 46g. bow with 3 small fish. I also run it wet but the stuff is pretty nasty.:yes:
