protein skimmer

I am looking for a new hob skimmer and was wondering if anyone has any recommmendations?

AquaC Remora Pro or Excalibur. Both are awesome skimmers if you get them with a MaxiJet 1200.

Which pump should I go with? I currently have a 55 gallon tank but plan on upgrading to 75 soon.

I'm looking to buy a skimmer as well, but not sure what I need. I've looked at the aquac remora but it pricy.I've only got a 30 gal tank and not sure if I need something as powerful as that skimmer. I've just started the cycle process but will go to a fowlr, then add some corals in the distant future. Any advice????

A CPR Bak Pak might be better for your aplication. Just be warned that some people have a problem setting them up.
J-Spot-I'm a fan of getting more low power powerheads than fewer high power. This way you can ensure all water is being moved. It may not be as pretty but it will make the tank look better in the end. I like MaxiJet powerheads. If you are looking for a sump pump...look into Mag pumps.

Hang a coralife super skimmer 65 on the back of that 30 gal tank and start skimming...Coralife super skimmers knock the socks off a Remora, as well as a CPR bac-Pak. Lot less money, lot more skim, much more quiet.
Coralife super skimmers work as HOB or sump mounted.
