Protein Skimmer ?

DOes anyone know what type skimmer i could get that could go directly under the tank with out a sump or wet/dry. I want one to stand alone in other words?? Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanx Todd

I believe you can do this with Berlins. My old LFS did something similar with one of their LR tanks... but I cant give details, because I dont know how they did it exactly, but I know they did it with a Berlin. Like what u wanna do.

Thanx Space Geek, but im really hopeing theres a model out there i can not have to do too much rigging on if you know what i mean. I was looking at the Aqua C Remora E-V 180, i might be able to make it work?? Hopeing someone will know something !! Thanx again

All skimmers I know of have to free drain in to the tank or sump. If you put presure on the drain then the water will overflow thru the collection cup. You could put one above a tank in a hood or shelf and plumb a drain back down but dont know if you want too.

dogstar is right, skimmers pretty much have to drain back into a sump or the tank you cannot push water back up out of them, it won't work.
