theres a lot of good models out there, but i would reccomend setting up a sump so that you dont have all the ugly equipment in your show tank. its not really that expensive to set up a sump either. a 10 or 20 gallon tank would be fine.
i would recomend a coralife super skimmer.

bowser220: So you dont have sump? Meaning that your tank isnt drilled and reef ready?? If so then I would recommend the the AquaC Remora skimmers. I have heard alot of good things about this brand. I have no personal experience with them, but this is just what I have read in the past. If you do have a reef ready tank, with a wet/dry hooked up, I recommend getting rid of the wet dry and installing a sump. You can just get the biggest fish tank that will fit under your stand and use it as a sump. Will help hide equipment and allow for more options as far as skimmers are concerned. Let us know if you need any other help.

If you dont go with the sump, I would recomend the Remora by Aqua C as well. I have one and it started skimming the first day out of the box. I was told it would take a week for "break in" but mine is skimming away. I'm using mine right now to cure my rock.
Just my 2 cents.

purchase a tank, 20 gallons should be good for youre size tank.
purchase an over flow, along with the prefilter and a return pump.
fill the new tank with pre mixed saltwater. it should be fine if it isnt cycled. start the over flow and return pump.
now you have somewhere to keep your heater, run your chiller, protein skimmer, and you have more flow in your tank.
