Protein Skimmer

I currently have my water level at the bottom of the collection cup, is this the correct level to have it at?

Depends on the skimmer I have a red sea prizem and I keep it about 1 1/2" away I find I get to much wet foam if it is any closer.

It's a jebo, I just installed it yesterday so it's ran for 24hrs, the air valve sucks because without hooking up an air pump to it the water goes way high almost into the collection container...i havn't got any foam yet, the manual says it takes 2-3 days for breakin...so i'm just waiting to see if it actually works.

water level is at the middle of the column under the collection cup...is this correct?
