I only added a my first fish a couple days ago? how long should i wait to add one? I'm trying to take my time with this tank as to avoid problems/death/that sort of thing so i'm not going to add another fish for at least a couple of weeks. i'm also wondering about a wavemaker? i know they aren't necessary, but if it would help anything i want to get one. here is the set up i have:
125 gallon tank; 225 lr, 160 ls, 4 power heads, i use reverse osmosis H2O. I do a 20% water change every 2 weeks. I have a horseshoe crab (please, not a word. lol...i didn't know!) 3 flame scallops, 2 feather dusters, 4 emerald crabs, 25 hermit crabs, 10 turbo snails, 2 peppermint shrimp, 1 coral banded shrimp, and 1 sally lightfoot crab., and a 6-lined wrasse. Thanks for the input!

Wave makers help a tank and its inhabitants by simulating currents. Corals will get more food this way by moving more water across their skins in diffrent directions. They are not necessary but they do help. It is also more natural looking to see a coral swaying rather than just blowing in one direction.

Sounds like a reef that has been well planned and carefully set up...do you use a sump ...how long has it been set-up and cycled?...what exactly are you water readings?...I added my skimmer shortly after the cycle completed(currently skimmerless for 2+ months)...I'd seriously consider adding a skimmer but I can't refer what size/type for your system...as for adding fish....I'd definitely go slow and plan each addition carefully....
