protein skimmer

Can anyone recommend me a protein skimmer? I'm new to the salt and just learning my way and have paid the price a great deal already! lol so just wondering what I need and what anyone can suggest to me?

I don't recommend the SeaClone.
I have a Coralife in my sump... skims great but can be VERY touchy to adjust just right.

Aqua C Remora, its a hang on back model. Just Plug it in and let it skim. No adjustments necessary, which is why it was my 1st protein skimmer and I've never replaced it. It does its job great, just make sure you get the one with the maxijet 1200 pump. You will see that a lot of people back this skimmer up, especially because of its ease of use and reliability to do its job while keeping a very fair price-tag. I did a ton of research on which one to get when I started this hobby. I narrowed it to that one and have never looked back. hope this helps.

I just put in a C-Skim 1200. It skims the heck out of my tank. Very easy to keep adjusted, just two knobs, one of which you never need to touch.
Also, it has a knob to turn down waterflow for emptying the collection cup, AND an automatic neck-washing feature ^
