protein skimmer

I am looking at a used protein skimmer. I have a 75 gal reef tank 125 lbs live
Coralife Superskimmer protein skimmer for saltwater aquariums up to 65 gallons, only used for 2 months
The problem is it is under rated do you think this would work? It is about half price of a new one I would really appreciated any feedback

somethings better than nothing i guess. Would really depend on your bio-load. If it is light I wouldn't see a problem. Considering the hobby is such an investment financially I wouldn't get anything less than the recommended size. Just my .02

my skimmer was the most expensive thing for my tank. It was more then my lights, more then the tank itself. I wouldnt try to shortcut the skimmer.
